To this end, the Department is seeking proposals from organisations who are interested in providing this service on a pilot basis of six months.
The representatives provided by this body will support the taking of information from, and the provision of information to, unaccompanied minors, ensuring that their best interests are considered at all times. A full list of functions is contained within the Grant Information Booklet and all those seeking to apply should familiarise themselves with its contents prior to application.
Organisations seeking to apply for this grant should demonstrate experience and expertise in the delivery of similar or comparable activities and must be in a position to provide 24/7 coverage across Ireland. They must also be in a position to transport and accompany all unaccompanied minors to the International Protection Screening Centre in Citywest, Saggart, Co Dublin, the International Protection Office, Lower Mount Street, Dublin 2, as well as to other locations as required.
