As per earlier communications, applicants are asked not to submit passports/application forms, this still remains the case. Due to the need to maintain social distancing in the workplace, passports received after the 27th March have as yet not been verified.
The vast bulk of Citizenship staff are remote working, the verification of passports cannot be performed remotely due to data protection concerns.
However should you require your passport for emergency reasons such as medical reasons, you should email us setting out the reasons and provide colour scanned copies of the supporting documentation such as a letter from your medical consultant. This service is solely for the purposes of emergency travel.
